The Partnership team is complemented with a crop of experienced and resourceful workforce that is committed to the highest ideals of professionalism.
Apart from coming from different parts of the country, some of the Partners worked with the big international accounting firms before joining Aminu Ibrahim & Co. This has guaranteed the comparatively high standard that has been the hallmark of the firm’s services. Below are their profiles.
Laz I. Iwu
Following the retirement of the founder, he took over the mantle of leadership of the firm as Senior Partner/Chief Executive from January 2005. He graduated with Honours in Statistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1984. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He was admitted a Partner of the Firm in July 1995. A very sound statistician, He is comfortable with figures, a quality he has brought to bear on all professional assignments covering audit, taxation, accountancy and other financial consultancy services. He has worked in all positions and departments of the firm and has exerted the expertise gained from this exposure on effective customers’ relationship management. He is Married with Children.
Musa Isa Idris
Idris was born in 1962 at Tarauni Quarters of Kano. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc) in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University (A.B.U.), Zaria in 1986. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and an Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He joined Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co., Chartered Accountants immediately after his National Service where he had his professional training and qualified as a Chartered Accountant mid 1990 and left in1998. He joined Aminu Ibrahim & Co. in 1999 as a Senior Audit Manager and was admitted as a Partner of the firm a year later. He is married with children.
Kunle Lasisi
Lasisi obtained a B.Sc degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife in 1988 and Masters in Business Administration from Bayero University Kano. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and an Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He joined the firm after acquiring considerable experience in both public and private sectors of the economy. In his over a decade stay in the firm, he has satisfactorily handled many challenging assignments. He was admitted as a Partner in January 2007.
Habibu Muhammad
Born in Kano.
He obtained B. Sc Mathematics from Bayero University, Kano in 1988. He is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria He trained with Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co and later joined Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) as a lecturer before moving to First Bank of Nigeria Plc where he spent over ten years before joining the firm. He was admitted as a Partner in January 2008.
